How does the census work and when?
While April 1, 2020 is officially Census Day, most households in New York City will begin receiving mailers from the Census Bureau on March 12, 2020 with information on how to complete the census online or by paper form. We encourage everyone to complete the census form as soon as they receive information in the mail on March 12.
