Worked with the U.S. Census Bureau, the City and State of New York, New York Counts 2020, community-based nonprofit organizations, and the business community to lead a coordinated 2020 Census effort to maximize resources and access to the most up-to-date and accurate information.
- Hosted the New York City Census Summit in Fall 2019 with 14 organizing coalition partners and more than 400 attendees.

- Conducted a needs assessment of overall Census efforts across industries including government, community-based organizations, large and small businesses, organized labor, and nonprofits. Read the work plan here >
- Created Census In A Box—which served as the most accurate and helpful resources for Census advocates—to streamline strategy development and ensure a shared baseline of information.

- Hosted a Power Breakfast with Chief Demographer of New York City, Joe Salvo, to engage and activate the ABNY community to prepare for a coordinated 2020 Census effort.

- Partnered with Governor Andrew M. Cuomo to host the New York State Census Summit in January 2020 engaging Census advocates and equipping statewide efforts with the language and best practices to get out the count across New York State.

- Activated more than 50 leading partners from across sectors to access their networks to amplify accurate information and empower trusted networks to encourage their communities to complete the Census.

- Worked with property managers and real estate owners to launch a coordinated Census outreach effort in residential buildings.

- Established a Census “war room” for the purpose of discussing, planning, and strategizing around allocation and distribution of Census resources. The war room mobilized and encouraged participation from City, State, labor, and community-based stakeholders.
- Hosted and participated in more than 100 informational meetings and convenings of Census stakeholders to engage public and private sector leaders throughout the New York City region; supported efforts by sharing information, exchanging ideas and tactics to get out the count; and distributed up-to-date and accurate community information.
- Worked with the U.S. Census Bureau, City Hall, and New York Counts 2020 to create a timeline for New York City’s Get Out the Count efforts.
